PT. Straits Consultancy Services is a member of Straits Asia Resources Ltd. and focuses on providing internal services to SARL s 2 (two) coal mine projects in Kalimantan, Indonesia. Due to rapid expansion in our operations, we are looking for the services of the below positions to be placed in South Kalimantan (Sebuku project) and East Kalimantan (Jembayan project).

Senior Mine Geologist (2 people)

Responsibility:
• Maintain and update geological models for mining.
• Reconcile production and quality performance against geological models.
• Investigate and report on coal quality issues.
• Liaise with mine planning and production on coal quality performance and forecasting.

Requirement:
• Experience in Geological Modeling and Resource target generation.
• Knowledge and experience in geological data collection, analysis and interpretation, modeling and reporting.
• Experience with sampling, quality analysis and quality control.
• High level of PC literacy including experience in geological modeling software package.
• Good communication in English for verbal and writing.
• Creative thinker and hard worker who is able to work under pressure.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
