Manager Legal (ML)

Main elements of the position description include

* Responsible for handling all potential legal matters, including analysis, evaluation and defense of any legal issue.
* Provide legal and policy advice and services to ensure that KPC strategic and operational needs are achieved with maximum legal compliance.
* Coordinate, track and analyse all cases involving KPC, and carry out consultation/negotiation and research required.
* Assist KPC management in the formulation of proposals which would improve the overall functioning of the dispute resolution mechanisms.
* Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may affect KPC operations and implement policy and procedural changes as required, and provide necessary update for all KPC management.
* Draft and review contracts, agreements and other legal documents.
* Participate in contract negotiations and ensure compliance with all legal documentation requirements.
* Ensure appropriate monitoring and recording systems are in place to capture information relevant to legal cases and provide update/progress report to management regarding issues resolution.
* Proof all published material that contains advice or legal information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Represent KPC at external meetings, conferences and committees related to legal and policy issues and negotiate detailed outcomes in accordance with broad policy directions.
* Manage external lawyers and provide strategic advice for settlement of legal dispute or litigations.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Preferably a master’s degree in law with minimum 10 years experience in related area.
* Expert knowledge of government law, regulations and policies, such as general law, criminal law, corporations law, mining law, environmental law, and local government regulations.
* High level of skills in the research and analysis of legal/policy matters and the interpretation of Court cases, legislation and complex situations from a legal point of view.
* Superior problem-solving skills and judgement.
* High level written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
* Extensive experience as a legal officer in a government/commercial environment.
* Knowledge of good management practices.

Senior Mechanical Engineer (SME)

Main elements of the position description include

* Lead and coordinate a project work and team complying with KPC safety and environmental standard and procedure commitment and involvement.
* Perform engineering study including develop design concept, calculation, technical review, and cost estimating and budgeting.
* Carry out and coordinate project initiation and planning developing of project scope statement and detail and management plan i.e planning of scheduling, re-sourcing, procurement, cost estimating and budgeting, risk, QC/QA.
* Carry out coal chain and interdivisional system assessment and monitoring, analysis and evaluation, recommend for improving the systems performance.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Tertiary qualification (S1) in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years working experience in project environment and/or bulk handling equipment and process.
* Posses project management and contract administration skill, driving skill.
* Good Leadership & People Management skills.
* Having knowledge and experience in Mechanical installation techniques and standards.
* Good analytical and problem solving skills.
* Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (oral & written) in both bahasa Indonesia and English.
* Posses report writing and computer skills as well as computer literacy.

Specialist Environment (SE)

Main elements of the position description include

* Assist development and site-wide implementation of environmental hydrocarbon and waste management procedures and programs.
* Co-ordinate environmental performance monitoring of hydrocarbon and waste management across site. Interpret and communicate results to Superintendent Site Support.
* Carry out regular hydrocarbon and waste management inspections/audits in KPC and contractor workshops.
* Supervise the bioremediation land farming operation and the hydrocarbon waste destruction operation.
* Conduct the inspection of general waste landfill operation
* Supervise hazardous and toxic waste storages

Qualifications and Experience:

* Tertiary qualification (S1) in Environmental Engineering with 2-3 year experience working in mining environment is preferable.
* A good understanding of mining operations and associated environmental issues especially on hydrocarbon and waste management.
* Good knowledge of bioremediation and incinerator process.
* Well developed interpersonal & communication skills (oral and written) in both bahasa Indonesia and English.
* Good planning and coordination skill.
* Computer skill such as Microsoft excel, word, power point, access etc.
* Ability to compile & maintenance accurate records.
* Possess “Pengawas Operational Pratama” certification from Directorate General of Mining and Energy.

Specialist Safety Training (SST)

Main elements of the position description include

* Develop learning outcomes from data provided as a result of a training need analysis conducted in the position’s particular discipline area.
* Develop lesson plans from a list of learning outcomes in order to provide a consistent approach to the delivery of a competency development programme.
* Delivery the safety training for KPC and Contractors employees in order to raise skill and competency levels.
* Monitor trainee progress in learning during training sessions and provide appropriate feedback.
* Ensure course content is fully covered through managing time during course delivery by starting and finishing at schedule times, controlling break durations and ensuring allocated theory/practical time is adhered to.
* Assess course participants to ensure that learning outcomes have been met.
* Resources and/or develop appropriate safety training materials to support effective module delivery.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Tertiary qualification (S1) degree in Occupational Health/Public Health or Diploma 3 with 5 years experience in Safety Health.
* Knowledge of KPC’s HSE policies and HSE management systems.
* Competent training skills gained through formal Train the Trainer training and on the job coaching/experience.
* Good time management and presentation skills.
* Good planning, organization and people management skills.
* Good interpersonal and communication (oral & written) skill in both bahasa Indonesia and English.
* Thorough knowledge of all KPC and occupational health regulations, standards and requirement.
* Well developed interpersonal & communication skills (oral and written) in both bahasa Indonesia and English.

Specialist Contract (SC)

Main elements of the position description include

* Tender development and processing from tender issuance until contract award plus contract development in timely manner for all contract requests for both long-term service format and projects format.
* Facilitate the continuous improvement process of ongoing contracts.
* Facilitate and drive resolution meeting to obtain improvements for each issue in tendering process, ongoing contracts and post-contracts.
* Interpret contracts providing advise and support to operational personnel in contracts management.
* Analysis of opportunities and issue to capture improvement.
* Administer management of performance based agreement for all type of contracts.
* Ensure and maintain tender or contract include KPC Standard as required and follow the procedure especially CMS procedure.
* Deliver analytical and negotiation skill to achieve the best cost for KPC.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Tertiary qualification (S1) in Mining or Engineering with 2-3 years experience.
* Extensive knowledge of prevailing laws and regulations, especially those related to commercial activities.
* Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skill (written & oral) in both bahasa Indonesia and English.
* Computer skills such as Word Processing, Spreadsheet and MIMS Supply System.
* Able to formulate contract documents and ability to interpret contract documents.

Supervisor Rehabilitation Monitoring (SRM)

Main elements of the position description include

* Lead the team to conduct reclamation monitoring in rehabilitated area.
* Evaluate the monitoring results and give recommendation for remedial action if needed.
* Conduct fauna relocation from mining lease boundary to suitable places.
* Work with Supervisor Nursery in kind of plants must be seedling at Nursery, based on plant monitoring results at rehabilitation area.
* Work with the Supervisor Reclamation in type of treatments must be taken in revegetation works at rehabilitation area, including for hydro-seeding operation.
* Work with Coordinator QA/QC rehabilitation in preparing the area for rehabilitation.
* Check the material and equipment required for monitoring activities.
* Ensure the equipments used in the field are checked and repair when required.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Tertiary qualification (S1) degree in Forestry with 3 years experience or Senior High School with 8 years experience in rehabilitation work, including nursery, biodiversity monitoring and forest conservation activities.
* Understanding of rehabilitation work-flow, reclamation and nursery activities.
* Sound knowledge of identify of plants (species, planting and plants maintenance), soil quality and forest conservation.
* Familiar with wildlife handling (Orangutan, Macaca, etc.).
* Mastering the basic of statistical analysis and evaluation.
* Good Leadership and People management skills preferably with training in staff supervision.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Oral & Written) in both Bahasa Indonesia & English.
* Good knowledge of Safety procedures and regulations.
* Possess “Pengawas Operational Pratama” certification from Directorate General of Mining and Energy.
