Property Underwriter

This role requires an individual who is capable of underwriting Property business and has the ability to develop intermediary relationships through profitable underwriting strategies.

Key Accountabilities :

* Underwrite new and existing business within agreed authority levels, to achieve profitable growth in line with Company and branch objectives.
* Maintain and develop business relationships with intermediaries
* Respond to customers requests for information
* Production of full and accurate data for Underwriting & Aggregate Reports and other reports as required
* Supporting underwriting colleagues by attendance and participation at internal and external client / broker meetings
* To provide a reference point and training for technical underwriting and product knowledge within the branch

Qualifications :

* Preferably up to 5 years or plus Property Underwriting Experience
* Minimum S1 degree from reputable university
* Strong technical knowledge & excellent negotiation skills when dealing with intermediaries are essential
* Self-motivated, confident and enjoy working to high professional standards.
* Write accurately, concisely and in plain English.
