Status/Condition: Personal Service Agreement (PSA)

I. Duties and responsibilities

Under the overall supervision of the FAO Representative, the Project Chief Technical Advisor, the Project Manager, the National Administrative Coordinator, and under the direct supervision of the Senior Administrative Assistant, the Security Guard will have the following responsibilities within the FAO / GOI Avian Influenza Control Programme:

Responsibilities

* Provide security services and protection for all of Programme assets in the 6th floor premises and its personnel;
* Carrying out the check on all of the bags and packages and ensure they are cleared before and after entering Programme’s office;
* Maintain a register for all members of the staff and endorse time in and out;
* Record all people entering and exiting the office in the logbook;
* Ensure that a visitor’s log sheet is maintained at the 6th floor reception lobby outside Programme’s office;
* Identify visitors and assisting them to fill the visitor form, direct the visitor or escort the visitor to the designated staff when it is required;
* Conduct security checks of visitors entering and leaving the office;
* Maintain a Dispatch / Receiving mail book, record correctly all incoming and outgoing equipment;
* Report immediately to FAO authorized officers of any theft, unlocked doors and storage room on Programme’s premises;
* Ensure all of the security measurement (emergency exit sign, hydrant and alarm lights work all the time by coordinating and reporting with Building C Maintenance Management);
* Directing the staffs to find out Emergency exit door or assembly area when emergency situation happens;
* Administering the use of front office keys;
* Ensure two (2) front doors are locked before leaving the post at 19.00 hours and opening them in the morning at 0700H;
* Perform other related duties as required.

III. Recruitment Qualification

* High School graduate.
* Minimum of 3 years progressive experience in the field of security;
* Good working knowledge of English language and fluent in Bahasa Indonesia;
* Trained in various fire extinguishers and fire control;
* Basic first aid trained;
* Must be knowledgeable about physical security systems and deterrents, how to operate an emergency generator, and knowledge in alarm systems;
* Free from all communicable diseases and in good general health without physical defects or abnormalities, which would interfere with the performance of any guard duty;
* Able to perform physical tasks associated with the guard duties to which he is assigned;
* Shall not be dependent on alcohol or other drugs; if using prescribed medication, it shall not hinder the performance of assigned guard duties;
* Must have the ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively, being reliable, dependable, firm, courteous and tactful;
* Able to take clear and deceive action especially during emergency situations;
* Able to work with individuals from different cultural/national backgrounds; good interpersonal and communication skills.
